| YEAH!! La Passion was a BLAST!! Thursday: Left class at 1:15 then had lunch opp school with Liz, Mel Tay, Sarah Foo, Patricia, Teri, Krystal and Ankita. Stocked up on snacks too. Reported in school around 2 (we were quite late) then boarded bus to Victoria Theatre. Sat in theatre and watched the modern dancers block their steps. Finally we could go to our dressing rooms. Our Juniors room was like so small but the seniors got one of a hellava big room. With tons of mirrors!! We got only two pathetic mirrors!! Our floor was quite scary. There was this spiral staircase and at the top was an altar and there was the chinese prayers. It was scary. Friday: Left class at 7:45 am and boarded bus at 8. Practice was okay. Lunch and dinner was DISGUSTING so us indian dancers ordered MacDonald's for ourselves. We ate outside and we saw the security guard sleeping with his mouth hanging WIDE open. BUSTED ON THE JOB!! we couldnt stop laughing and many people took photographs of him. haha. SHOW TIME!! We took quite some time to prepare make-up. While waiting at the holding area I was freaking out and my stage fright got even worse backstage. I wanted to cry. But with meditating and telling myself that everything was alright, I managed to walk onto the stage. And the hugs for friends helped too. Hey, I smiled!! I didnt forget my steps!! But I sort of slipped a little but thank God i didnt land on the floor. My pants was too long. But I managed to laugh the slip off. I continued BEAMING at the audience. Thinking back now, it was HILARIOUS. Saturday: Reported in school at 12:20. I thought my sister and I was going to be freaking late cos we overslept but when we got there, many people were late too!! We didnt even practice the whole day in Victoria. We just hung out in the dressing room. Most of the practicing time was taken up by the modern dancers so there wasnt time for us. Started hair-spraying at 1 plus then went down to practice Finale. we ordered our own dinner form MacDonalds and sneaked them into our dressing room. We had loads of fun fooling around. Changed into costume early and started on make-up. My make-up was good! Haha. Show time was at 7:30. I thought I was not going to be nervous but I was wrong. When I heard the crowd, I freaked out again and I kept thinking about my near-fall on friday. I rolled my pants freaking high so that I wouldnt slip again. It was our turn quite soon and I meditated again. Ha Ha. IT HELPS!! And thank God I didnt fall ot slip, or even forget my steps. I think we were PERFECT. The best part was hearing the crowd roar at the end of our performance. I was drained from all the backstage running that before Finale, I was giddy and elizabeth ah dto help me walk backstage to stand by. Thanks a lot! I tried not to think of the pain in my head and did the steps for finale and Voila! I felt fine!! It was fun dancing to the music. After the whole thing went down to mingle with friends. All those screaming!! Met Dominic with his friends. He's so sweet! He bought me earrings!! It's nice to have someone like him for a boyfriend. Michelle Sim bought me, liz, natasha and nicolette flowers! How sweet! She's such a best friend. Met Rachel and Sarah too. After mingling went back to dressing room to change. I lost my own earrings! But at least I had dom's ones with me! =D Cleaned up the place and then waited on stage for buses. They came late cos of the NDP practice stuff and there was a major jam. It was GOODBYE VICTORIA then. But we all had so much fun. It was goodbye seniors too. That part was sad cos our seniors are so nice to us. We'll all miss them. |
